I’m Pavel Šmejkal, known online as Psax. I’m a Czech science advocate, amateur naturalist, Atropos Skeptics Society chair, and proud member of Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia and Czech Skeptics Club Sisyfos.
I fight misinformation with facts, wit, and the occasional moth.
Simply Czech skeptic and humanist, on a mission to cast some critical thinking magic and take down pseudoscience one ridiculous claim at a time. This website should be my little corner of the internet where I unleash my ideas, skeptical shenanigans and more! Through articles, podcasts, and other activities, I aim to shine a spotlight on the itching problems plaguing our society — like those pesky religious organisations influencing government, populism, superstitions, and those charlatans peddling miracle cures like they’re selling life essentials.

I firmly believe that an open dialogue and science-based arguments are the secret ingredients for a fairer and better world. Simple as that. Street Epistemology may come in handy.
Born and raised in the bustling streets of Prague but now enjoying the peaceful vibes of the countryside, I dabble in entomology and botany while occasionally peeking into the cosmos with my amateur telescope — because who doesn’t want to know what aliens think of us, right? Former ballroom dancer and wannabe prodigy of Northern Shaolin, now enjoying long walks and thinking of straight line missioning across Prague.
One wife, one son, one dog and one cat.
And I make a living doing TV post-production support.
Fun Facts:
– I once drew a gorilla gentleman, and now it’s my logo.
– Still no money from Big Pharma or Soros. Rude.
